Providing the high quality awards

Running trophies provide a traditional way to recognise outstanding performances in athletics, road races, cross-country competitions and running clubs. While medals are often presented to a large number of competitors, trophies can be reserved for overall winners and special achievements. A beautiful running trophy gives the recipient something substantial to display and can become a permanent reminder of a particularly successful race or season. For clubs and organisers, presenting a trophy also adds a sense of occasion to the awards ceremony.

There are running trophies to suit almost every type of event. Traditional cups are ideal for annual championships, while modern trophies featuring runners in action create a more obvious connection with the sport. Glass and crystal awards offer an elegant alternative for corporate races and charity events, while smaller resin trophies can provide excellent value for school competitions and junior athletics. Choosing different sizes for first, second and third place can create a coordinated presentation without requiring identical awards.

Team Sports

Individual running trophies can recognise much more than simply finishing first. Awards for fastest male and female runners, age-group winners, most improved athlete and club champion can give competitors additional targets to aim for. Running clubs may also present annual awards for dedication, attendance and contribution to the club. These awards help celebrate the wider community surrounding running and recognise people whose contribution may not always be reflected in race results.

Individual Sports

Personalised engraving makes running trophies particularly meaningful. Adding the athlete's name, race, finishing position and date provides a permanent record of their achievement. For annual club competitions, perpetual cups can be engraved with each year's winner, creating a history that future members can look back on. Seeing previous champions' names on a trophy can add prestige to a competition and encourage new runners to aim for their place among the club's past winners.

Indoor Games

Running trophies are particularly popular with schools and athletics clubs. Young athletes enjoy receiving an award that recognises their hard work, while parents appreciate having a physical reminder of their child's sporting achievements. Presenting trophies at the end of an athletics season or school competition can also encourage pupils to try different events and develop their running skills. A carefully chosen trophy can make a school sports presentation feel like a genuinely special occasion.

School Awards

Corporate and charity running events can benefit from trophies too. Alongside participation medals, organisers can present trophies for overall winners, team champions or fundraising achievements. A premium award can add a professional feel to a corporate race while providing winners with something more substantial than a medal. Charity events can also use trophies to recognise teams or individuals who have made an exceptional contribution to fundraising.

Corporate Awards

When choosing running trophies, it's worth considering how the award will fit into the overall presentation. A striking trophy can become the centrepiece of photographs and create an impressive moment when the winner steps forward to collect it. Combined with personalised engraving and attractive presentation, even a relatively simple running trophy can have a lasting impact. The award should reflect the importance of the achievement while remaining appropriate for the type of event.

Engraved Gifts

Whether you're organising an athletics championship, club competition, school race or charity run, running trophies provide a fitting way to celebrate success. They recognise the athletes who have gone the extra mile and give winners something they can proudly display for years to come. From classic running cups to modern sports awards, there's a style to suit every event. With personal engraving and a thoughtful presentation, a running trophy can become a lasting symbol of dedication, determination and achievement.

Fantastic, trustworthy trophy store. We've had two cups engraved by Running Trophies Sheffield and we are very happy with them. Both cups were engraved to a very high standard by Michael, who went through all the options. Gail in the office are also very helpful during the ordering process. Thank you to you both! :)
